Activities of the Central Committe of Nepal Majhi Utthan Sangh

The following is a summary of the activities undertaken by the Central Committee of the Nepal Majhi Utthan Sangh since its election at the 4th National Convention, held on Jestha 14, 15, and 16, 2080 BS (May 28-30, 2023 AD) in Sunsari.

Our pioneers established this association in 2051 BS (1994 AD) to facilitate the economic, social, and political development of the Majhi community, preserve their language and culture, and bring them into the mainstream of the state for overall, comprehensive development. Although activities began then, the association was formally registered with the
District Administration Office, Sunsari, on Poush 2, 2054 BS (December 17, 1997\ AD), and has been continuously carrying out its activities ever since. The association has overcome various challenges over this period to reach this day. I extend my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to our predecessors for this work. The Nepal Majhi Utthan Sangh has its own glorious and proud history. We  still have much work to do for our community, and it is our duty and responsibility to fulfil that task.
